Tailgate Time!

We apologize for the delay in getting this information to you. If was a tough road to travel to obtain the information, but we have finally reached the light at the end.

Please call your Ticket Representative beginning Tuesday, June 24th to pre-pay for your parking pass. Like last year, it will be $20. Do not delay in making that call, because we are assuming the passes will be mailed to you. As you know, the game is only 5 days away!

You will need to get the pass for Lot 2 (El Camino Grove). For those of you who are Casbah/Faultline Alum, the tailgate will be in the same location as last year. For all of our  new cohorts, the location is Lot 2, directly off El Camino Real. We will be situated near Gate 12.

This post also serves as a reminder that we will have a Taco Guy. The plates are $12.50 each (unlimited visits). Today is the day we are taking a final count. A few extra numbers will be added on for purchase the day of the tailgate, but only a few. So today is the FINAL day to GUARANTEE your plate of taco/quesadilla heaven!

As per usual, there will be a share table for any mouth-watering goodies you would like to show off, and the magic cooler for any liquid potions you would like to contribute.

Remember, it will probably be hot, so please don’t forget to bring water!

First Volunteer Event was a Big Success!

Thank you to those who committed just two hours of their time to helping others this past Wednesday night.

From the words of the Second Harvest volunteer coordinator:

Thank you for volunteering your time with Second Harvest Food Bank.

Your group of 3 volunteers sorted food to feed local people in need. They are people who have hit a bump in life. Many have lost their jobs, their homes and their ability to provide for themselves and their families.

Volunteer support is essential for Second Harvest to maintain efficient and cost effective services. Because of volunteers like you, 95 cents of every $1 donated to the Food Bank goes directly to programs providing food to over 243,000 people each month. The food you sorted will be distributed to hungry children, families and seniors in the neighborhoods where they live, learn, work and play.

We deeply appreciate the time you have taken out of your own busy life to help us focus on what matters – that anyone who needs a meal can get a meal today, and every day. Your gift of time has made a true difference for many in our community. Please share our appreciation to the members of your volunteer team for giving their time and hard work to Second Harvest Food Bank.

We look forward to our continued partnership with San Jose Casbah. The Food Bank is always in need of volunteer help, especially in the months of January – September, so we hope to see you again.

So thank you again to those great volunteers! We will schedule another volunteer session again soon with Second Harvest Food Bank. We hope to see more of you out there!
